MARGRAIN CELLAR DWELLERS

Every weekend of September we offer side by side tastings of our current vintages against their aged counterparts straight from our cellar – some are 10 or more years old. This is a very popular event that we have been running for 12 years now.
$20 per person with a limit of 5.

HARVEST FESTIVAL

Provincial Insurance Brokers Presents Wairarapa Wines Harvest Festival is held at the beautiful, sheltered riverside setting, locally known as ‘The Cliffs', on the banks of the Ruamahunga River. With an obvious emphasis on wine and food there is also great entertainment throughout the day featuring a variety of live music, art exhibitions and static displays ensuring that all tastes are catered for.

Walk, talk and taste your way around a hand-picked selection of Martinborough’s specialist wine and beverage producers. With your host, you will go behind the scenes to meet winemakers and viticulturists, hear their personal stories, and sample wines directly with the people who make them.
Group sizes usually remain small (up to 10 people), to ensure a personal experience.
Thursday/ Friday and Monday, bookings required.

Toast Martinborough is a unique one-day multi-site event, with vineyard sites all offering wonderful wine, food and music choices throughout the day.
A true celebration for lovers of fine wine, gourmet food and live music. A premium event that since it first began in 1992, it has showcased our unique boutique wine village with many talented Martinborough vineyards, in the heart of the Classic New Zealand Wine Trail.
Previously on the third Sunday of November each year, the festival has now moved to Saturday on Waitangi weekend. Toast Martinborough is truly enjoyed, talked about and continually sought out near and afar. It is an event that people leave dancing and singing, laughing and remembering.
MARGRAIN Vineyard & Winery Tour
MARGRAIN VINEYARD, martinborough
The team at Margrain take you through the vine to wine process and the history of Martinborough winemaking, tasting as you go. Commencing at the Cellar Door, taking you through the ‘Chifney’ and ‘Home Block’ vineyard blocks, visiting our boutique winery and finishing in the barrel rooms.
Tours are available Tuesday to Saturday, 11.30am - 12.30pm
(Other times available for groups of 10 or more)
